Throughout her career, Rathbun has received numerous Public Relations Society of America Awards for outstanding community relations, event planning and marketing communication projects, including six Crystal Awards and three Best-of-Show honors.

Most recent honors include:

• 2007 Pinnacle Award from Central Michigan PRSA for the 2006-07 Annual Guide and Physician Directory for Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital in Charlotte, Mich.
• Award of Excellence from PRSA for International Walk to School Day 2003, a project Rathbun managed for the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports in Michigan.
• Honorable Mention for PRSA's East Central District for International Walk to School Day 2003.
• 2006 Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding service and commitment to the Laingsburg Business Association.
